Whilst it may cost a little more, the features and benefits certainly justify the cost.
It looks great, offers excellent thermal properties, keeps out the wind and rain, is whisper-quiet in operation, can be integrated into smart technology and comes in a huge range of styles and colours.
The thickness of the material used, typically 42mm, means it will keep out the heat and the cold, or indeed, help keep the heat in if you have an integrated garage. This thickness also means it gives the best sound insulation of any product on the market. That might not be a priority but it all depends on what the garage space is used for.
You may want to keep noise out or you may want to keep the noise in (if your teenage son and his mates have band practice or your partner is a keen and active DIYer the neighbours might be very grateful).
As mentioned, the only downside is you will pay more but it will repay you every day you use it – and even on the days you don’t.
Note: For commercial applications, this product also comes in a 67mm thickness which can also be used on domestic residences. The extra thickness gives even more strength and even better sound and thermal insulation properties.
